More and more manufacturers are becoming aware of the specific needs of the female cyclist, and getting away from the 'Shrink and Pink' attitude for building female specific geometry. Now we are seeing changes such as; narrower handler bars, reduced reach on gear and brake levers to cater for smaller hands, shorter top tube lengths to account for female limb/body proportions and specific saddle designs amongst other things. No longer do women have to fit themselves around a bike designed for a man; they now have many mountain and road bike options designed with them in mind.
